How old did you turn? What presents did you get?

My mum is angry at me because I just had a week and a half off when my family came up. Now there's a sport carnival at school. None of my friends are going, and mum is all, "I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY YOU HAVE TO GO TO A SPORTS CARNIVAL WHEN YOU DON'T DO SPORT!"
And she's saying it like it's my fault. I don't know either. I hate sport. I'd much prefer it if there was no sports carnival.
I think that if I could still have internet, etc., I'd run away. I just hate staying here all the time.

Lol, I turned 16, and as for presents, a few friends made me cookies or gave me cards, but that was about it. My mom did not have any time to go shopping for me, but that is okay, since there was not really a lot I needed. Because of my orchestra dress rehearsal, we did not even have time to do cake and ice cream, though, which made me sad :/ But either way, a b-day is a b-day, and I am one year older and one year closer to death XD

People should not fear death. It is the one thing that remains constant, the one thing that remains true. When we age, it is no difference from when we were younger or from when we will be older. We will just be in a different... state. When we are dead, we just don't look as right then. Time is simultaneous.. I'm not making sense. It's late.

Actually, my mother surprised my by actually having a present for me today.

I got the new Green Day CD.

And I am addicted to the song East Jesus Nowhere... as well as many other songs on there. But that one is probably my favorite. I have listened to it about 50 times already XD

And I agree, death is inevitable, and it is the only thing that we know for sure in life... we will die. I actually am not afraid of death, which makes my friends think I am insane. I mean, really, for me, death is just another part of life. People who are so afraid of death are usually afraid with the pain associated with it, but unless you have a long, drawn out death, like getting sick with cancer, the pain will not matter, since you will be dead.

I know that it's irrational, but I fear death anyway. Mostly because I suspect that when I die, I'll realise that I've lived for nothing. I know that I consider myself Christian, but I really don't know.

I decided a while ago that I don't want to do the church thing anymore. It was always too clique-ish and awkward. After all, life is meant to be a gift. If you give someone a gift, you expect that person to enjoy it, not worship you for it.

And there is my logic.

While we're on the subject of philosophy, I want to share a theory. I might have mentioned it, I don't know. All the love we feel is the same love. For example, the love we feel for a friend and the love we feel for a lover is the same love. It's based on the same things: trust, communication, etc. However, our intentions with each one are different. I wouldn't sleep with one of my friends (Unless he was a hot guy and it was an understanding, but you know what I mean. Another different intention.)

I've heard a couple of songs from the new Green Day CD and I think it's awesome! Lucky you for getting it! <33

I should be doing my science right now, so I'll leave you with that.

And I'm sorry if that didn't make much sense. I'm tired :/

I just met my great aunts/uncles. I love two in particular. Very Happy

EDIT:

I am not sure exactly where this goes... I do not see any going away threads... But I shall be leaving on Saturday at 3:00 A.M. to go on orchestra tour for nine days. I will most likely be packing all day Friday, so I will not be on, and the day I get back, I will be too wiped out to get on, but after that, I will be back full-force.

How is it that a new thread can be posted without the website telling me there are new posts? Seriously, the random section of the homepage was all grey!. I only found out about this thread from Tegan a short while ago.

I am here and I would care about the death of any member of this site. I would have replied to this thread earlier if the website were working properly. Also, I am not off with some random emoticon girl or dead.
