Did I tell you I am going to FINALLY open my own bank account? I've gotten about $300 in the last few weeks between working at the library at a grade school near my house, birthday money, and graduation money. I've never had money before, and it's a weird feeling. It bothers me that I've never opened an account. Also, I am going to get my ears pierced, I think, now that I am 18 and can technically go get them pierced on my own. People keep giving me earrings for things, and it seems a waste to just have them sit there.

My birthday was good, although it was very crazy and I have been home for about three hours total since I woke up this morning. I had my orchestra concert, baccalaureate mass, and all sorts of other stuff. I got a perfect attendance scholarship from my orchestra, which was really ironic. I left the concert halfway through to get to baccalaureate, and was not there when my name was announced. This is the first thing I've missed in all my seven years in the group. At baccalaureate, my grandparents and aunt were there, and I am now the owner of a kindle. I'm not quite sure how I feel about that. After that, I went home with my mom, had dinner, frosted my cake, and watched the end of the celebrity apprentice with my parents. Overall, it was a pretty good day.

Ben, quantum mechanics sounds awful, I am not going to lie. I could never go into science or math. The plan for me is a double-major in economics (I know, there's technically lots of math involved with that, but it's different) and political science before going onto law school. I could never ever ever consider a strictly science major. All my friends are going into science or math, though. Are you still on the physics track? YAY for being done/almost done! Very Happy We need to talk more. I never ever see you anymore and it is driving me nuts.

In fact, I never see any of you anymore. It is sad.

Nanabear, you have a bit of time to work out what you are going to do after high school. Heck, I didn't figure it out until the weekend before the deadline. Good luck with the graduating friends. :/ That's rough. *hugs*

I am tired and probably going to bed. I love you all.

I wish that I could finish soon like you, Kat. I finish in November and it seems too far away. Last year felt like my last year and now I'm forced to keep going, which is especially annoying given that I'm not doing so well in school at the moment. Like in Maths, I know how to do everything, but I forget how to find the difference between numbers because I can't think properly. It's ridiculous.

Next year I think that I'll go to the university here, next to the school. I don't need particularly good marks to get in and if I pass the course I'm doing there at the moment, I'll get automatic entry. It's not a good university, but I don't feel like moving out yet, or working really hard to get into somewhere better. And I'll just do a general Bachelor of Arts. Hopefully I can transfer after I've done a year.

I got my learner's license. I don't think I mentioned it. I'm driving a few times a week.

Yayayay for you! Have lots of fun!

I decided to look at Hot Topic online as you do. Although this isn't exactly the epitome of great American clothing, I cannot believe that you guys have a place where you can go and buy band t-shirts. The only place here I've ever seen it was at a music festival and it wasn't even worth it because the shirts were, like, $40 each.

I'm so sick of trying to buy nice clothes, so getting through the rest of my time here in band shirts sounds puuurrrfect.

I recently found the store Madewell. It's pretty pricey, and a branch off of J.Crew which is embarrassing, but I actually like their clothes. I don't know if you guys may have it where you are? They don't have band tee shirts hah but they havesome cool clothes. I just got my graduation dress from there.

Oh, Bree! One of my friends is going to University of Alberta (Alberta University?) next year.Cool, yeah? I'm so incredibly ready to get out of high school. I'm kind of "seeing" but not seeing this guy in college and it's really just showing me how juvenile and petty everyone at my school is. It gives me a headache, but only three more school days left until I'm done! Assuming I can bring up my failing gym grade hahh.

Happy belated Birthday, Kat! I'm glad you had such a great day :)

Okay, so listen to how crazy this is. Friday night, I started going through an existential crisis. Yesterday morning, I woke up with this song stuck in my head. I had know idea what song it was but I could hear the melodies in my head perfectly and pick out a few of the lyrics. I went through my library and recent playlists to see if I could figure out what it was, but for the life of me, I could not figure it out and it was really starting to frustrate me. I started typing in variations of the lyrics into google, until I finally figured it out. It wasn't anything that I have listened to a lot of - yeah, I like it. It's a beautiul song, but not one I pick out to play in playlists. I didn't even know what the lyrics were or what the song meant. Turns out, the song is all about the narrator going through an existential crisis and trying to find the point of his existence. I was so shocked, haha, it was incredible. And, in case you were wondering, the song was Blue Spotted Tail by the Fleet Foxes.

Where I am were have a big shopping centre, which truthfully isn't that big, with a select range of clothing stores to buy from. Otherwise you can buy from op shops which aren't good here either. It's annoying, because when I was younger I'd spend $60 on a dress, and now I have a couple of dresses that I don't really like anymore and not much else to wear.

What is the point of life anyway? We could achieve so much, but it wouldn't matter in the end anyway, because we're just going to die. And in a while the entire human race will collapse, so there won't even be anyone left over to enjoy it.

The song was lovely, though. I listened to it while writing this.

I am bored, annoying, tired, and just about ready to implode. My birthday is in two weeks and there's this girl from my group whose birthday is the day after mine, and she wants to do a joint celebration thing. I don't want to do anything, but I felt bad saying no. I feel so spineless, and now I'm going to have to spend another night pretending to like these people.

All I want is some cheesecake, but I can't eat cheese anymore because of my operation. Does cheesecake even count?

oh wow, that's brilliant. yeah, it's the university of alberta - or u of a as we all call it here. i'm thinking of going there for a couple of years and maybe taking a exchange program or transfer universities. i just want to stay at the u of a because my friends in grade ten are doing plays, and i want to stick around to see those before i jet off to another university. plus my sister is graduating two years after me and i want to get back for that.

on another note, we're doing this play for student directed in drama, and my 'sister' chose this play and it said j.crew, but we couldn't figure out what store that was because we don't have that in canada, at least i don't think we do - so we had to change it to walmart. lol. but it's funny. i have to kiss this guy in it, but luckily we're pretty decent friends so it isn't awkward or anything. he makes me laugh though, because he's like laying on the couch with his feet on my lap and i'm watching cody (his friend, and the main guy of our play) watch these 'history rap battles on youtube' and cole (the guy i have to kiss) is like "give me a hand massage" i'm like, "whaaat?" it was so random, but he's adorable.

the whole grad date thing is so funny, because me and roland are pretty good friends and whatever - but he got a girlfriend yesterday, and i'm laughing now because we're still on for the whole grad date/escort/whatever thing. i doubt kate (his girlfriend) minds though, because a) i don't like roland in that way, and b) we're really too good of friends to do anything stupid that could screw their relationship up, which is good because it would just be awkward, and i do love this kid. haha. plus kate knows we're just friends, thankfully. my sister thought me and roland had a thing, i was like "HOLY HELL NO." because that's weird. but kate's ridiculous and like high maintenance so we were all kind of taking bets to see how long they were going to last. i said about a month & 1/2 while everyone else was three weeks, give or take a few days. lol. we're horrible, but i don't think they're going to make it to the summer.

also, on shopping/dresses/the works. i have my dress for the graduation, it's gorgeous. i'm so jacked because i get to do my hair fancy & wear heels and this dress. i'll have to post pictures for you guys because i'm totally in love with it, and it's gorgeous. i get a corsage too, i'm soo jacked. it's honestly going to be an amazing ceremony but i'm going to cry. lol. i just have to put my banquet ticket somewhere safe because i'm scared i'm going to lose it or something. ahh. hahah. <3

So, I was just in NYC for nine days. It was awesome. I stalked the prime minister of Belgium and met the guy who plays Hodgins (I am nearly certain I spelled that incorrectly) from Bones. I saw six Broadway musicals, including How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying, which has Daniel Radcliffe in it, as well as James Earl Jones. I wandered around in Times Square and Rockefeller Center a lot, which was fun. I got to know my orchestra friends a lot better, and I think I am actually going to miss them quite a bit. It was a crazy tour, and I had a blast.

You guys sound incredibly busy, and I love you all to pieces. I miss you guys. It makes me sad.

I agree with Twirlz. I feel so old.

i'm so jealous you got to meet t.j thyne. so jealous. he's so brilliant. he was also on angel for two episodes i think, and he's in "how the grinch stole christmas" i imagine that he'd be a pretty cool person to meet. that just seems what his personality would be.

i'm also jealous about seeing danrad on stage. ah. i wish i could. i'm hoping when we go to england next year there'll be something grand on the stage at the theatre that we'll get to see - and i'm hoping that david tennant, arthur darvill, or catherine tate are in the plays because i think it would be brilliant. or daniel radcliffe. so not opposed to seeing him onstage.

Happy Birthday, Teg!!!

I can't believe how much you managed to do in NYC!?! I'm really jealous of all the shows you got to see.

I watched series one of Primeval. It was good, but I heard the other series went down hill a bit.

In Ben news, am in my new house now (no more attic room Sad ) and have passed all my modules this year. Success!

Hey guys! Long time no type Sad

Goodness, I can't believe I missed Tegan's birthday! Happy belated birthday, love! I hope you had a tremendous day!

Well, I'm currently at Yale. I don't know if I ever told you guys (?) but I'm taking summer courses here. I check in tomorrow morning and they start Monday. I'm a little nervous, but I'm sure I'll be fine, just as long as the other kids aren't too...unfriendly...

And congrats Ben on your passing! :)

Thank you, guys <3

It's a shame about you attic room, Ben, but hopefully your new room is equally as comfortable, if not more so Razz And good job on passing this year! God, how many years have you got left?

Wow, Chads, that sounds fantastic. Everything should be exellent, good luck!

My Dad got both his hips replaced yesterday, so there's been a bit of hospital stuff. Other than that, there's been nothing of note.

Yeah, it's a lot of fun here! I've met some incredible new people, but I'm not very motivated in the courses. Oh well.

Oh my, Tegan! I'm so sorry to hear that. My mom had one replaced once and it was such a drawn out, painful process. I hope everything goes well and he makes a fast recovery!

I also just got Skype. I'm a little behind on that, I know...>.< I'm still trying to figure it out.

I hope your motivation catches on <3 Although if you're having a good time, that's the main thing x)

Thank you! Dad is coming home tomorrow! I was so surprised to learn that they were going to start physio the day after he had his surgery! His physio was going over the weekend, but left a note daying that he was supposed to do 10 laps of the ward a day, which we translated to 5, haha.

I've been doing some world building, and I was thinking of buying a mapping software that looks nice (it irks me that a majority of freeware is ugly), but it was $50! Just to make a map! I don't even pay that much for The Sims! So much for that I suppose :/

LOVE YOU TOO, KAT! I hope college goes well for you <333

[rant]Harry Potter is playing tonight. Brittany and Ella are both going. I was the one who shoved the books in both their faces, saying "READ OR DIE!" and they didn't even invite me to go and see the midnight showing of the last movie. I didn't even KNOW about it until today. Bitch, bitch, whine, whine. Idk what they're expecting (I dont complain to their faces about what crappy 'friends' they are or anything).[/rant]

Only 90 words left of my horrible art essay :)

i saw it, it was marvellous - but i didn't cry as much as i thought i was going to.
it was a sweet and satisfying ending to my beloved series, and i'm saddened that it's done - but i know it's always going to be in my heart, so it doesn't matter that it's 'over'.

i just got back from my gramma's where i spent ten days. it was ridiculous, and i really don't want to do it again even though i know i'm going to have to in august - something i am certainly not looking forward to. it's for drivers training. i'm supposed to be practicing to get my licence in september but ugh. it's ridiculous and the guy i'm driving with is kind of a ... well, he always goes to grab the steering wheel and there's so much to remember. i hate peopl trying to talk to me and control me and ugh. it's bad.

however, i also saw captain america which was fantastic! it was really great. i suggest seeing it( : i'm very excited for the avengers to come to screen in 2012. one, because it'll be such a fantastic movie and two, joss whedon is directing it and i miss his directing skills.

i also started watching psych, something i became very obsessed with, very quickly. i am absolutely in love with james roday, and him and maggie lawson are the most beautiful couple i have seen (not including prince william and kate) but they're fantastic. i love listening to the audio commentary of psych, because they never stay talking about the episode but they're always going on about something in their personal life, and i find it quite interesting. carlton lassiter is my favorite character, and he's absolutely brilliant.

anyways, i miss you all <3 and i hope you're all doing well!
