Gryffindor Common Room

Located in one of the castle's highest towers,
the entrance to which is located on the seventh floor and is guarded by
a painting of the Fat Lady, who is garbed in a pink dress. She permits
entry only after being given the correct password.

Gryffindors come to scheme and do homework.

Juliette reached the common room, as she had suspected she would, after just about everyone else. She muttered the password and walked in, sitting in a chair in the corner.

Adrianna was the last Gryffindor at the Hall so she knew inside was going to be busy. She murmured the password and walked into the room. It was just as beautiful as she remembered it to be. She allowed herself a small smiled and walked to the chair by the window. She sat down and curled up, looking outside. It was beautiful. the sun was setting and it was just above the horizon. She smiled to herself and kept looking out.

Violet walked into the common room, smiling as she sat down by the fire.

Erik muttered the password and stepped into the warmth of the common room. Everyone was there. The first years talking in the various corners of the room. He could see Juliette in one of the chairs by the corner. Adrianna staring dreamily out the window. Thinking of stories no doubt. And Violet. The girl with the strained past.

Erik had everyone figured out. Even Pippa. No one could guess what she was planning next. He knew almost everything about everybody. The half-giant was always picked on. Lucas was his name. Adrianna was an outsider, growing up in a family of six. Juliette contained herself and Violet was bubbly.

Violet looked up to see Erik had just walked in. She shifted uncomfortably in her chair. Sometimes it seemed as if he knew them all a little too well.

Adrianna had fallen asleep, even though it was quite loud in the common room. She looked up to the sound of the common room door closing. Erik. The Erik. He pretty much always knew what you were thinking. He knew like everything about them. She twisted her purity ring around her finger.

Erik gave a half smiled at the common room. It was home to him. Well he'd miss his sister of course. Not being able to see her every single minute of the day was torture to him. He felt like taunting someone. Pippa was terrorizing someone.

Juliette looked around the room, spotting Erik, who she hadn't noticed before. Perhaps he'd just come in. She rolled her eyes at the look in his face, he was practically slave to his sister. She was the same way.

Violet looked away, he had a strange look in his eyes. Like he wanted to mess with someone.

Erik grinned at Juliette. Even though she was trying to hide herself, she was pretty cool. He had notice Violet turn her head away. He shrugged it off. Pippa was influencing him again. Her feelings taking over his body.

Adrianna turned back to the window. Was it raining again? She sighed un-happily.

Juliette smirked back at Erik, daring him to let Pippa have control.

Violet shivered and drew her chair a few inches closer to the fire.

He shook his head and walked to her.
"I've learned how to control her 'desires' so to say." He told her.

"It's about time." She replied.

"Oh yeah. It took awhile. But it's the same with my feelings towards her." He shrugged casually.

Adrianna looked back at Erik. He had walked from the steps of the common room to sit beside Juliette.

"You're very different people." Juliette observed. "But it doesn't show when you let her emotions affect you."

"It's like we are one. My emotions are hers and hers are mine. Many people don't notice." He replied.

"Well, a lot of people don't know both of you."

"That's very true. It's because we are from different houses. A lot of people don't realize that we are even related." He turned and looked at Adrianna.

Adrianna blushed and turned back to look out the window.

"A lot of people are unobservant, self-absorbed morons. It's fairly obvious, actually. She's so blatantly cruel to so many people that I see her, then I see you doing the same thing. Plus, you two don't exactly have a common last name."

Violet looked over at Adrianna, sitting by the window. "Hey." She said.

Erik laughed "That's true. But she has so many people bowing before her. It's hard to keep a clean record."

Adrianna looked up again, the blush still on her face.
"Hello." she mumbled.

Juliette laughed. "Well, she's got most of the school under her control yet. Perhaps you can break out of it."

"You're Adrianna, right?" Violet said.

Erik shook his head "There is no hope. I've tried." He smiled.

Adrianna nodded another blush forming on her face.

"You're getting better, though. Just now, for instance." She pointed out.

"I'm Violet."

"I guess so. But Pippa will always be Pip. My Pip to be exact." He chuckled.

"I - It - It's nice to meet you." Adrianna stammered.

She sighed. "You've got to learn to be her brother, and be close, without being the same person."

"You too."

"It's not as easy as it seems Jules." He said.

Adrianna smiled shyly.
